Hebrews 12:1-3 says, "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."
One of my good friends put this on his Facebook status today. It rings so true to me today. It reminds me that, yes, people watch what I do. However, that means I need to go on ahead and do for God what I would do for Him when people aren't looking. I need to look to Him for the example of how I should live me life. He died for my sins and yours, the least I can do is try to not sin and do everything I can for God. That includes relying on Him for the power. We need God's power to help us through the day, no matter if it's just a day of relaxation or the most stressful day of our lives. Look to Jesus for the power you need each day, I know I need the reminder.
