A Closer Look

Psalm 26:2-3 (KJV) says, "Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth." Today, I feel like I should open myself to God and allow Him to take an even closer look at my mind and my heart. I know neither of those are nowhere near perfect, but I have been trying to clear my mind of sinful things, as well as my heart. Ever since I got saved (I was 12, almost 13 years old), I've been feeling this same way. I know I'll mess up, but I want God to take a closer look and see what I need to do in order to be more pleasing to Him. Of course, since then, God's blessed me with the ability to avoid certain types of sin, but it's the other stuff I'm still working on. I want to give it all to God and just let Him try me and help me become less of a sinful person. My prayer today is that He will allow me to keep learning more in His Word so that I might not sin against Him.
