"I shall not be moved... I'm anchored to the rock, standing on the truth, and I shall not be moved."
This is a quote from a Collingsworth Family song (gotta love 'em!), and it rings true with me, especially when I read Psalm 16:8 (KJV)- "I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." One thing we as Christians need to remember is that we have certain beliefs, and we shall not be moved. God breathed His word into men to write it down in order for us to be able to figure out some of the crazy things in this life. However, we need to be putting God first in order for us not to be moved. We need to keep our eyes on the Lord, let our hearts be yielded to His will, have a burden for lost souls, and keep God's word in our hearts. If any of this sounds familiar, I stole it from one of the assistant pastors at my church, Tim Lindsey.
One thing I know I need to work on is keeping yielded to God's will. I'll get to where I give it all to God, but the next day, I wake up and think I can do it on my own. That's not the way it should be. I should be yielding to God's direction on a daily basis, all day. I'm working on it, and I'm hoping that you can, too. Having a yielded heart will only produce good fruit, and help you not to be moved!
